In talking to people who have used some of these sites I’ve found that they’re paying too much and not getting the results they could be getting if they’d have simply set up their own hosting with their own website and installed WordPress on it.

What often happens is that these type of sites make it so easy to get started. Then you realize that you need some of the premium features. At that point you’ve spent a fair amount of time developing your own website and you hate to walk away from all of that work. The way your site is set up you can’t take it with you, so you quickly realize that it’s much easier to pay the $29.99 per month for their premium service. And they’ve got another paying customer!

Not that this is a bad thing! Not at all. These guys have invested a lot of time and money in providing a means for you to build your own website very easily and quickly. They offer instruction and support (premium members) and that has it’s value.

If that’s the way you want to go, then I’d suggest planning up front to paying whatever the premium monthly fee is. More than likely you’ll need it if you’re serious about your website.

The best option for making your own website is to go ahead and spend a few dollars and do it right!

Let’s take a look at what is involved.

• Get hosting for around $8 per month. You can get it for less if you shop around or only need 1 domain.

• Buy your domain for about $10 per year.
